A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words: Lisbon, Portugal
Portugal holds a special place in my heart because my great grandparents came to America from Lisbon and the Azores. As an American, I think it’s hard sometimes to feel a connection to your ancestry, especially when you don’t grow up learning about the culture. So, I was particularly excited to visit Lisbon to see where my family came from. What I learned is that Portuguese people are so welcoming and warm, the food is comforting and so flavorful, and there is so much history all around.
I could write a whole, long post about my experience in Portugal, but I think I’ll just let the pictures speak for themselves.
